Skin Tip#4: Exfoliate
Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Exfoliation can be done mechanically, by using abrasive scrubs or chemically, by using acids that dissolve and remove dead skin cells without scrubbing.
As we age, cell renewal slows down and our skin is slower to shed skin cells. This can leave the skin looking dull and devitalized. Proper exfoliation removes the pore-clogging dead skin cells and reveals the fresh skin below.
Exfoliation also allows for better penetration of other skin care products, even skin tone, and boost circulation and lymphatic drainage.
