It’s super important to wear sunscreen daily year-round, regardless of your climate. During the warmer months and while outdoors, sunscreen should be reapplied every 2 hours and after swimming.
Ideally sunscreen should be a separate step in your skin care regime- don’t rely on an SPF in your foundation or moisturizer. It’s simply not enough protection. Aim for a sunscreen in the SPF 45-60 range for daily use and make sure it covers the broad spectrum of rays- both the UVA and UVB rays. That way you’re protected from both wavelengths that cause skin cancer and accelerated skin aging.
