Job Description
A growing practice in Oakville, Ontario is looking for Patient Care Coordinator to join their growing team. As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will support patients during their appointments, liaison between the patient and the doctors, and are the primary contact to patients for all inquiries between appointments.Â
Responsibilities:Â Â
- Work collaboratively with physicians to provide educational consultations using superior patient care and attention to patient needs
- Qualify patients, ensure enough time is spent with patients, all patient questions are answered and diligent follow up is completed for each consultationÂ
- Schedule appointments
- Answers incoming inquiries from patients via telephone and email Â
- Facilitates bookings in coordination with the office managerÂ
- Responsible for being the liaison between patient and practitioners with recommendations, prescription changes and inquiries.Â
Skills and Experience:Â Â
- Previous customer focused role and/or clinic experience– preferably 2 years of medical office experience, including EMR or equivalent
- High attention to details
- High level of empathy and client focused mentality
- Flexible, adaptable and have an entrepreneurial spirit, that will enable you to become a driver in the team and contribute to the success of the clinic and team engagement
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication skills and excellent phone demeanor
- High proficiency in technology and software programs and the ability to learn new programs quickly
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Engaging personality and optimistic outlook
